Easy Homemade Dumplings

Just made dumplings for the first time in my life! I made them to go with my crock pot chicken! It was easy! I had all the ingredients. Thanks so much Tablespoon! If I can do it....a n y b o d y can do it!

INGREDIENTS


  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • broth
  • chopped chives or parsley if desired for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Frist Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add oil and water and mix until smooth. 
  2. Then Add a bit more water until dumplings are soft and not at all dry.
  3. Bring broth to a boil and add dumplings by spoonful. 
  4. Then Reduce heat and cook dumplings 4-5 minutes. (Do in batches if you are using a small pan.)
  5. Then Serve dumplings in broth garnished with chopped parsley or chives as desired.
  6. Enjoy!
